FERRARI CAR PHOTOGRAPHY KENT

Ferrari car photography shoot in Kent
We left from Folkestone to go down to a location on the outskirts of Ashford, fortunately with my press pass and pre-planning we were able to use a great location which was a disused station, the urban and decaying backgrounds really let the bright reds of the Ferraris stand out. The shoot lasted two hours and I mainly stuck to my favourite combo of the 1D mk3 with the 70-200mm lens on, this was a great commission as David is a professional photographer himself but wanted to use me for the shoot. It is also great to get some more portfolio images for the Carzpix site, we left just after 3pm which was well timed as a few minutes later it started to rain.

Just finished editing the pictures, just use a little bit of curves in CS4 to saturate the reds a little bit more, this is a technique that I have used over the years, I generally tend to underexpose in camera by 2/3 of a stop which just gives the image a strong contrast to begin with. Don't forget to keep on looking at the Carzpix website where I am adding new images all the time.
