DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE FEATURE

We all met up at Brands Hatch Morgan with Rod & Sarah from the garage and then set off to Bredgar Light Railway station where we had done a car photography shoot a few weeks ago with the Morgan Sport. Barretts Jaguar Canterbury had also very kindly loaned me a Jaguar XF for the day as well, so we had a modern saloon and a classic sports car to take a selection of photos of on the shoot. Jodie Tyley and Rosie Tanner from DP were photographing and recording the shoot as well as taking notes for the feature which will be in next months magazine. The day was gorgeous with loads of sun and strong blue skies, this made it a challenge in terms of strong shadows and blown out highlights, so for the purpose of the article worked really well, being cynical a bit of clod cover would have been nice! The day ended around 4.30pm and I feel that Tom had got a lot out of the session, the main points being composition and using backdrops and foreground features to enhance the cars appearance. I will put more details about the magazine article once I have received it from DP.
