ASHES TO ASHES SHOOT

Ally had done a recce a few weeks before and the location I had in mind was to have a gritty and urban feel, the back streets of Rochester were ideal, we had a shut down brewery and some great archways which were tucked away and provided a great contrast with Ally and the 70's Daimler. We had three changes of clothes and Carla enhanced the make up towards the end of the shoot as well. The majority of the photos were taken using off camera flash, Carla and Ken were great assistants, one flash was directed on to Ally and the second one on to the car/background just giving it a very subtle lift. I have just under exposed some of the images and used the curves tool to give the images a bit more contrast and grit to them.
