TOURING CARS SILVERSTONE

Not only did I get the VIP treatment from Honda but along with 39 other Type R owners we also got to do a parade lap around the home of the British Grand Prix circuit. The speed was limited to 30 mph as their were 40 cars on the track being lead by the two Honda racing drivers Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden. After the second race had finished I was able to get some great close ups of the two drivers in the pits, also managed to get a few seconds on ITV4 as they were doing the driver interviews, blink and you'll miss it! Also managed to take a few of the Mugen press car which is the prize in a national draw due to take place later this year, you never know! I only really locked on to the Type R's racing as i wanted to get a flavour of the event, good to see I haven't lost my panning technique, slow shutter speeds of around 1/125-1/160 and follow the car, gives you great motion blur, only down side is that the small depth of field shows the dust spots on your sensor. A good sensor clean is next on the list of things to do!
